The Black Hills Pit Tragedy - Halloween Special Event
Based on a true story of events that happened at Black Hills in 1865...
Two young men lost their lives in a horrific accident at the old mine workings. The tragedy occurred when they were being lowered down to the pit bottom for a day's work, but something went terribly wrong, and the young men were decapitated, their lives cut tragically short in the black depths below the hills.
The pit foreman was believed to be responsible for their deaths. When word spread of what had happened, a posse of locals hounded him relentlessly, seeking revenge for the young men. Unable to bear the guilt and persecution, the foreman eventually took his own life. But the pit owner, desperate to end the chaos and suspicion, found the foreman's body and cut it up, scattering the pieces all around Black Hills to put an end to the shenanigans.
Every year around this time, it is said that the spirits of the two young men can be heard calling out for the foreman to give himself up, yet no one has ever found any pieces of the foreman's remains.
Now, 160 years later, two factions have emerged from the descendants of those touched by the tragedy. The descendants of the two young men are forming a search party to organise a step-by-step search of the land, determined to finally find the remnants of the foreman and burn them. Meanwhile, the descendants of the foreman have organised a counter search to prevent this, hoping to find the body parts themselves and lay him to rest in a secret location where he can rest in peace for eternity.
The question remains: will you help bring justice to the tormented spirits of the young men, or will you protect the foreman's remains and ensure his eternal rest in the Black Hills?
